Penn State adds two more players from the portal

The Penn State backfield got two more additions this past weekend. While the window for entry into the transfer portal is officially closed, teams can still add players to the roster if they can get them enrolled on campus. The team added DIII quarterback Connor Barry and Delaware running back Amare Glover to the team this past weekend. We’ll discuss what both players bring to the team. Can either push for playing time or a spot in the two-deep this fall? We’ll discuss. 

The staff roster buildout continues as well. Campbell added former University of North Texas defensive coordiantor Matt Caponi to the staff this week in an analyst role. We’ll discuss his ties to the program and what the staff looks like as Campbell and his leadership team settle into their new, expanded budget. 

Weekend Recruiting recap

Next, we’ll dig into the team’s recruiting efforts over the weekend with the team’s first Junior Day of the year. Reporter Sean Fitz discusses how things went for the new staff and their first impressions on a group of key individuals from the state and region who visited this past weekend. Did superstar running back Kemon Spell make the trip? We’ll give fans the outline of where things stand heading into the team’s final recruiting weekend before a February dead period.
