Alexi Lalas is a former U.S. men’s national team defender who earned 96 caps and gained fame as one of the first American players to compete in Italy’s Serie A with Padova, before returning home to win the 2002 MLS Cup with LA Galaxy. After retiring he held executive roles in MLS and became a long‑time soccer studio analyst for ESPN and later Fox Sports, earning a Hall of Fame induction in 2006.
