Matchday Keeper with Ian Hine

If you want to understand the history of Brighton & Hove Albion, this is the man you go to.

Today’s guest has spent a lifetime preserving the history of Brighton & Hove Albion through the matchday programmes that have chronicled the club’s story for more than a century.

Ian Hine first watched the Albion in 1968, the day after his ninth birthday, and took home a matchday programme that sparked a passion lasting more than five decades.

Since then, he has built one of the most extensive collections of Albion programmes in existence.

Ian is now releasing Brighton & Hove Albion - An Illustrated History of the Matchday Programme, a 400-page book featuring more than 1,600 illustrations, with part of the proceeds supporting the Albion Foundation and the Albion Heritage Society.

Join us for a fascinating conversation with the man who has dedicated himself to telling the club’s story through the pages that captured it.
