In COPA90’s new series Soul Searching, Hashim Otban heads to the suburbs of Paris — where a community tournament inspired by AFCON has become a celebration of identity, pride, and footballing brilliance. In the heart of Aulnay-sous-Bois, one of Paris’s true talent hotbeds, the city’s African diaspora come together each summer for the Coup d’Aulnay des Nations. What began as a local kick-about has evolved into a space where players can celebrate their heritage & what it truly means to be Parisian.
