At the 2010 Vancouver Games, Didier Défago edged out Aksel Lund Svindal in the men’s downhill by only 0.03 seconds. The 1994 Lillehammer Games delivered a dramatic moment when Kjetil André Aamodt lost the gold medal in the men’s downhill by just 0.004 seconds to Tommy Moe. At Sochi 2014, Dominique Gisin and Tina Maze tied with identical times in the women’s downhill, sharing the victory. In PyeongChang 2018, Ester Ledecká stunned the field by winning the women’s super combined by a mere hundredth of a second, finishing ahead of Anna Veith.
